Coach

Job Description:

Coaches at Miles To Go Athletics are responsible for providing expert-level strength, plyometric, power, conditioning, endurance, and nutrition programming via the MTGA app as well as providing on-going coaching support and managing direct communication with their assigned 1:1 coaching clients to ensure a positive client experience.

They collaborate with the coaching team to create digital resources, webinars on topics of MTGA community interest, educational materials, blogs, and videos for MTGA clients and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

(1) Provide full-service, high-touch fitness and nutrition coaching including expert-level strength, plyometric, power, conditioning, endurance, and nutrition programming in accordance with MTGA’s current standards and Services Guide.

(2) Provide on-going client support through Company’s app by:

  • conducting client calls
  • creating text, voice, and/or video messages to respond to regular client check ins
  • provide positive reinforcement to maximize compliance and engagement to clients and MTGA community
  • communicate regularly with and respond in a professional manner to all assigned clients and and others within the MTGA community in a reasonable amount of time
 

(3) Conduct discovery calls with new client prospects and perform onboarding tasks when assigned new clients through MTGA’s client relationship management software.

(4) Attend regular reoccurring  virtual team meetings for training, projects, team updates, brainstorming, editorial calendar planning, etc.

(5) Create blogs, videos, e-books, PDF resources, webinars, and social media content to be used for marketing and educational purposes to support the MTGA’s mission and values.

About the Position:

To be qualified for this Coach position, candidates must possess education, certifications, and experience in coaching clients one-on-one in strength, conditioning, and nutrition. Our 1:1 coaching packages include all services so candidates must be qualified to coach fitness training and nutrition.

The Coach position is fully-remote and requires strong communication and coaching skills, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting clients in their pursuit of health and fitness goals.

We are especially looking for candidates who have a specific zone of genius or area they are looking to specialize in that aligns with the mission of MTGA. Our vision is to create a coaching team with a diverse set of skills, interests, and specializations to form a collective of expert health and fitness professionals to serve our community in all aspects and stages of life.

It’s a 1099 independent contractor position and is part-time (5-10 hours/week) with the opportunity to grow to more hours over time.

Compensation for Coaches is based on a percentage of revenue from clients assigned to the coach plus an hourly/flat rate for administrative work and other tasks.

Candidates for this position must possess all relevant certifications or degrees and keep them current throughout their time in the position. Additionally, if hired, the candidate must provide proof of industry standard liability insurance which names MTGA as an additional insured.

ASSISTANT COACH

Job Description:

Assistant Coaches at Miles To Go Athletics are responsible for managing direct service-related communication with MTGA clients, addressing inquiries related to program participation, analyzing client feedback and proposing changes and updates to continuously improve offerings, creating community engagement in the MTGA app, and assisting Coaches with the development and management of training programs to ensure a positive client experience.

They collaborate with and assist the coaching team in the creation of digital resources, webinars on topics of MTGA community interest, educational materials, blogs, and videos for MTGA clients and marketing efforts.

Additionally, they will collaborate with the MTGA team to generate ideas for program improvements based on client feedback and promotions to support business growth.

Responsibilities:

(1) Input new programming into team spreadsheet and into the app, adhering to the team’s best practices for program effectiveness and client experience.

(2) Collaborate with the coaching team to organize and complete tasks related to program edits and generate ideas for program improvements and promotions.

(3) Update programs and exercise libraries and perform assigned tasks in a timely manner with minimal error according to MTGA standards and guidelines.

(4) Provide on-going client and community support through email and MTGA’s app by creating text, voice, and/or video messages to provide positive reinforcement to maximize compliance and engagement and respond in a professional manner to inquiries in a reasonable amount of time.

(5) Assist coaches with onboarding new clients through Company’s client relationship management software.

(6) Attend regular reoccurring  virtual team meetings for training, projects, team updates, brainstorming, editorial calendar planning, etc.

(7) Assist with the creation of blogs, videos, e-books, PDF resources, webinars, and social media content to be used for marketing and educational purposes to support the mission and values of MTGA.

The Assistant Coach position is fully-remote and requires strong communication and coaching skills, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting clients in their pursuit of health and fitness goals.

We are especially looking for candidates who are possess or are actively pursuing health and fitness certifications that align with the mission of MTGA. This position is perfect for new or aspiring coaches as there will be ample opportunities to learn from other experienced coaches to facilitate continuous learning and development at MTGA.

There will also be opportunities for Assistant Coaches to move up to Coaches as they learn, develop, and pursue their own area of specialization. Our vision is to create a coaching team with a diverse set of skills, interests, and specializations to form a collective of expert health and fitness professionals to serve our community in all aspects and stages of life.

It’s a 1099 independent contractor position and is part-time (approx. 3-5 hours/week) with the opportunity to grow to more hours over time.

Compensation for Assistant Coaches is based on an hourly/flat rate and will be negotiated based on the candidate’s education and experience.

Candidates for this position must possess or be actively pursuing a relevant personal training, behavior change, or nutrition coaching certification or degree.
